IFS Food

Food Quality and Safety Management System

What is;

IFS Food Standard is a standard that specifies the specific requirements for the safety, legality and quality of foods that businesses that process and / or pack food must meet. The IFS Food standard has been set up by the German and French Retailer Federations to serve as a valuable tool for the common approach of controlling retailer supplier management systems.
IFS Food Standard has been recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Institute) as equivalent to the corresponding BRC Standard for Food, FSSC 22000 and SQF Code systems and builds on the principles of HACCP giving particular emphasis to good industrial practice (GMP) and good hygiene practice (GHP).
